Sunday, 23 February
Gallants 0 – 0 Polokwane City
Polokwane City were unable to reclaim third place on the Betway Premiership standings after playing to a goalless draw with Marumo Gallants FC on Sunday. Despite a promising start, with a free-kick from Daniel Msendami and a close-range miss by Sibusiso Tshabalala, the match remained goalless. Polokwane had further chances, including a shot from Simon Ramabu that hit the post, and Tshabalala’s half-volley saved by Gallants’ goalkeeper Washington Arubi. In the end, Polokwane remained in 4th, and Gallants stayed 14th.
SuperSport United 1 – 1 Golden Arrows
The Betway Premiership clash between SuperSport and Golden Arrows was abandoned on Sunday night as loadshedding hit the Lucas Masterpieces Moripe Stadium. Matsatsantsa boss Gavin Hunt was celebrating his 1000th match of top-flight football before the lights went out with 22 minutes on the clock. Without a generator at the venue, the match had to be called off but not before it was decided to finish playing the rest of the first half. Christian Saile had opened the scoring for SuperSport after four minutes of the tie, while Velemseni Ndwandwe levelled for Arrows with 24 minutes on the clock.

Chippa United 0 – 1 Sekhukhune United
Sekhukhune United bagged their second win on the trot on Saturday as they secured a hard-fought 1-0 win over hosts Chippa United at the Buffalo City Municipality Stadium. Mokete Mogaila produced the decisive strike for the away side in the 37th minute, and the Chilli Boys were unable to find their equaliser despite 19 shots at goal, five of which were on target. It was an evenly-contested clash, but Chippa may have felt they deserved at least a point, considering the visitors only managed two shots on target.
Orlando Pirates 2 – 1 Cape Town City
Orlando Pirates staged a gritty comeback to edge out Cape Town City 2-1 in a pulsating Betway Premiership clash at Orlando Stadium on Saturday. The victory keeps Pirates firmly in second place with 36 points from 15 matches, while City dropped to 12th with 21 points from 19 games—both trailing runaway leaders Mamelodi Sundowns, who boast 48 points from 18 outings.

The hosts finished with 70% possession and 24 goal attempts to City’s six, underscoring their dominance. Keet’s heroics kept the scoreline respectable, but City couldn’t muster a response after Mosele’s late dagger. For Pirates, this win reinforces their title-chasing credentials, though Sundowns remain the team to catch. City, meanwhile, rue a missed opportunity to climb the table, their early promise undone by Pirates’ second-half surge.
Mamelodi Sundowns 4 – 1 TS Galaxy
Mamelodi Sundowns turned the tables on 10-man TS Galaxy with a 4-1 victory in their Betway Premiership clash played at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Saturday. Sundowns scored two early goals through Peter Shaquille and Iqraam Rayners but Sphiwe Mahlangu made sure Galaxy stayed in contest when he found the back of the net. The league holders remain 12 points clear at the top of the standings having played 18 matches but Orlando Pirates do have three games in hand.
