Orlando Pirates interim head coach Rulani Mokwena feels his team have been unlucky as they have struggled to get their season up and running.
The Soweto giants have only won three on their nine games in the league this campaign and find themselves languishing in 8th place in the standings.
The Buccaneers won their last encounter against Highlands Park on Tuesday and speaking ahead of the Soweto derby against Kaizer Chiefs on Saturday, Mokwena said they have dominated games but just not got the results.
Mokwena told reporters: “There’s no game where Orlando Pirates hasn’t dominated.
“We have dominated all the matches, maybe not as much dominance (against Highlands) as we had in the previous games.
“We have games where we dominated, and dominated and dominated but we haven’t had the results.
“So we will take it (the result) and continue to work.”
The Soweto derby, which is also a Telkom Knockout quarterfinal, will be played at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in KZN.
