Mamelodi Sundowns has confirmed that their highly anticipated Betway Premiership match against Orlando Pirates at Loftus Stadium this weekend is officially sold out.
The club is urging ticket holders to arrive early to ensure they don’t miss out on what promises to be a thrilling encounter between the top two teams in the league.
Currently, Sundowns sit at the top of the Betway Premiership standings with an impressive 39 points from their opening 14 league outings, while Orlando Pirates closely trail in second place, 6 points behind the log leaders with a game in hand.
The Brazilians strengthened their position at the summit with a dominant 4-0 victory over Golden Arrows at Lucas Moripe Stadium on Sunday and followed that up with a 3 nil romp over SuperSport United in the Tshwane Derby.
Similarly, Orlando Pirates secured bragging rights and maximum points following their 1-0 win against Kaizer Chiefs at FNB Stadium last weekend, in front of a packed crowd. This weekend’s fixture will mark the first league meeting between the two perennial title contenders this season.
