Betway Premiership: Mid-table clash as AmaZulu gear up to face Stellenbosch

AmaZulu are set to host Stellenbosch in a Betway Premiership clash at the King Zwelithini Stadium on Thursday.

Both teams are eager to secure three points to bolster their league campaigns.

AmaZulu, currently in ninth place, recently ended a two-match winless streak with a narrow 1-0 victory over Magesi. Prior to this, they had recorded a draw and a loss.

A win against Stellenbosch would propel them into the top eight, as they are just three points behind seventh-placed Golden Arrows.

However, they will have to manage without long-term absentee Augustine Mulenga, who has been sidelined since September 2024. Fortunately, there are no suspension concerns for the squad.

Stellenbosch, on the other hand, are in eighth place but have struggled for form recently.

They suffered a heavy 5-0 defeat to RS Berkane in the CAF Confederation Cup on 19 January and are winless in their last three league matches.

Aside from their dip in form, Stellies hold two games in hand, but their campaign has been hampered by the season-ending injury of Bradley Mojela, though no suspensions will affect their line-up.
