Marumo Gallants Bolster Coaching Staff with Assistant

Marumo Gallants have strengthened their coaching team with the appointment of Sundra Govender as an assistant coach.

Govender, who recently parted ways with Motsepe Foundation Championship side Casric Stars, joins the Bloemfontein-based club effective immediately. He will work alongside head coach Dan Malesela and first assistant Duncan Lechesa.

This appointment comes amidst a challenging period for Gallants, who currently occupy 12th position in the Betway Premiership with 10 points from nine matches. Their recent loss to Polokwane City has increased the pressure on the team and its coaching staff.

Govender brings a wealth of experience to the role, having previously served as head coach of Casric Stars. He is expected to play a crucial role in assisting Malesela in improving the team’s performance.

This latest coaching change follows the recent appointment of Molefi Ntseki as the club’s technical director. Ntseki’s arrival has sparked speculation about the future of Malesela, whose position may be under threat if results do not improve.
