Recognized as one of the most accomplished Asian footballers of all time, Son Heung-Min is celebrated for his speed, technical skills, and goal-scoring abilities, making him a key player at both the club and international levels.

Son’s football journey began in Germany, where he joined Hamburger SV’s youth academy in 2008. He made his professional debut with the team in 2010, quickly establishing himself as an exciting forward with immense potential.

In 2013, Son transferred to Bayer Leverkusen, where he further developed his abilities and became a standout player in the Bundesliga. His impressive performances earned him a move to Tottenham Hotspur in the English Premier League in 2015 for a then-record £22 million, making him the most expensive Asian player at the time. At Spurs, Son’s energy, versatility, and consistent goal-scoring made him a fan favorite.

Over time, Son has earned numerous individual honors. He has been named Best Footballer in Asia several times and became the first Asian player to surpass 100 goals in the Premier League. In 2019, he played a crucial role in Tottenham’s run to the UEFA Champions League final. In 2020, he won the FIFA Puskás Award for his remarkable solo goal against Burnley.

Internationally, Son has been a prominent figure in South Korea. He was a key player in their 2018 Asian Games victory, which earned him a gold medal and exemption from mandatory military service. He has also represented his country in multiple World Cups and AFC Asian Cups, consistently performing at the highest level.
