Gavin Hunt Latest News

Gavin John Hunt (born 11 July 1964) is a South African former football (soccer) player and coach who currently manages Durban City FC. He previously managed the Premier Soccer League club Kaizer Chiefs. On 28 May 2021, Kaizer Chiefs released him from his contract after a string of poor results with the club.

A tough and determined right-back, Hunt spent the majority of his playing career with Hellenic. Unfortunately, his career was cut short due to an Achilles tendon injury, leading him to transition into coaching.

Hunt’s most significant achievements occurred during his time with SuperSport United, where he secured three consecutive PSL championships from 2007-08 to 2009-10. Prior to this, he had managerial stints at Seven Stars, Hellenic FC, Black Leopards, and Moroka Swallows.
