Inter Milan remain top of the table after holding reigning champions Juventus to a goalless draw

Inter Milan remain top of the table after holding reigning champions Juventus to a goalless draw last weekend. On top of that, Napoli failed to capitalize on that stalemate after Fiorentina kept them at bay and held on for a 0-0 draw. Roma, Lazio nor Sampdoria made up any ground which means none of the top six teams claimed a win last time out. This all adds up to an exciting round of football. Let’s take a look at what’s in store.

Saturday 16 December

7/20 Inter Milan | Draw 4/1 | Udinese 15/2 (16:00)

Inter Milan remain the only unbeaten team in the league after holding Juventus to a goalless draw last weekend. They have won seven of their eight matches at home, scoring 20 goals and conceding just five times. Udinese have won two matches on the bounce but because of their lack of consistency, that doesn’t fool me. But they have also won back-to-back games on the road, so they might just find the back of the net. The Matchbet & Both Teams to Score –  Inter Milan and Yes – market is the way to go at 7/4.

38/10 Torino | 3/1 | Napoli 13/20 (19:00)

Torino will be buzzing with confidence after thrashing Lazio 3-1 in their own backyard, extending their unbeaten run to six games. Napoli have one of the best ongoing away records in the league – undefeated in 21 matches, including 18 victories. The Azzurri have dropped points in their last two matches and can’t afford dropping any more points. Another Matchbet & Both Teams to Score – Napoli and Yes – offers plenty of value at 2/1! Get on!

1/4 Roma | 5/1 | Cagliari 10/1 (20:45)

Saturday’s final contest will see Roma welcome Cagliari to the Stadio Olimpico. The Giallorossi are unbeaten in their last eight matches with six wins, as well as four consecutive home wins. Cagliari have struggled on the road with five losses from eight games, scoring just six goals and conceding 14. Roma have won four of the last six meetings against Cagliari and are tipped to build on that. Back the home team on the (-1) Handicap at 13/20.

Sunday 17 December

17/4 Hellas Verona | 32/10 | AC Milan 6/10 (13:30)

Hellas Verona are second from bottom on the table with just two wins from 16 games, scoring 14 goals and conceding 32 times. AC Milan earned their first win under new manager Gennaro Gattuso with a 2-1 home win over Bologna. Hellas Verona have lost six of their eight matches at home, including three losses on the trot. The away win should be backed.

15/20 Sampdoria | 28/10 | Sassuolo 33/10 (16:00)

Sampdoria are going through a small slump but made some progress last time out with a 2-2 draw at Cagliari. Sassuolo have been terrible with 10 losses from 16 matches, scoring 10 goals and conceding 28 times. Sampdoria have been outstanding on their ground this season with six wins from seven games. The home win looks a top bet!

6/1 Bologna | 36/10 | Juventus 4/10 (16:00)

Bologna are coming off a 2-1 defeat away to AC Milan and will look to bounce back to winning ways. Juventus were held to a goalless draw on home soil against a solid and resolute Inter Milan side last time out. The Old Lady have won five of their seven travels this season, as well as seven of the last eight meetings against Bologna. Back Juventus on the Halftime-Fulltime Win at 11/10.

22/10 Crotone | 22/10 | Chievo Verona 13/10 (16:00)

Relegation-threatened Crotone will clash against Chievo Verona on Sunday afternoon. The home side have been in disastrous form with four losses from four matches, scoring just once and conceding nine times. Following a 5-0 thumping at the San Siro Stadium at the hands of Inter Milan, Chievo came back strong last time out with a hard-earned goalless draw against Roma. A low-scoring affair looks likely so get on the Under 2.5 Goals market at 13/20.

11/20 Fiorentina | 31/10 | Genoa 9/2 (16:00)

Fiorentina are unbeaten in their last four matches, including a hard-fought goalless draw away to Napoli last time out. Genoa are unbeaten in their last three matches at the time of writing with two wins and will be looking to maintain that form. Fiorentina have won four of their last six matches at home, while Genoa have won back-to-back games on the road. A tight affair looks a likely outcome and the Under 2.5 Goals market is tipped once again.

39/20 Benevento | 22/10 | Spal 29/20 (19:00)

Benevento have been horrendous with 15 losses from 16 matches, scoring just eight goals and conceding 38 times. Spal 2013 are placed 18th on the table but will see this as the perfect opportunity to escape the danger zone. This one should go down to the wire but the away team are tipped to edge the win.

13/10 Atalanta | 24/10 | Lazio 2/1 (21:45)

Atalanta are unbeaten at home in their last seven league games with five wins and two draws. Lazio are coming off a disappointing 3-1 home defeat against Torino but it’s away from the Stadio Olimpico where they have excelled, winning seven of their eight matches on the road. Four of the last six meetings between the sides have seen both sides find the back of the net. Get on the Both Teams to Score – Yes – market at 6/10.
