One of our regular readers Xolani Radebe, from a small town in KZN called Umzimkhulu, took his time to chat with one of our team members about SBN and how it helps him as a soccer punter, while also sharing his favourite part about the paper.
Hi Xolani, thank you for taking time to chat to us. How long have you been following SBN?
Xolani Radebe: Hi, yeah, sure. It’s not a problem at all. I really appreciate you guys contacting me. I only knew about the paper last year June when someone won using tips from SBN, but I started following it regularly around October and I can say that I really love it.
That’s fantastic. Where do you buy our paper?
XR: I buy it at the Hollywoodbets branch in Ixopo. I first visited there to take a bet and saw some guys using the paper and asked them to explain to me what it is about. Since then, I’ve been buying it every week.
Have things changed since then? How does SBN help you as a soccer punter?
XR: Things have changed a lot, my view and knowledge about football has improved. SBN gives us [the readers] a lot of information on all the leagues and that has encouraged me to do extra research to broaden my knowledge about the game and increase my chances of winning.
Interesting, so which part do you like the most about the SBN?
XR: I like the previews, particularly the English Premier League, because you guys go in-depth and you tell us things we sometimes aren’t aware of. That helps us a lot as punters because this is not an easy thing to do so we need as much information. Reading the previews and adding my football knowledge makes a good combination when structuring a bet and SBN has encouraged me to follow most leagues. I now watch a lot more games.
So apart from being a punter, I can tell you’re a lover of football as well, so do you have a team that you support?
XR: Yes, I do have teams that I support. Locally, I support Kaizer Chiefs, and overseas I support Arsenal.
Awesome. If you had to pick one above the other, which one would it be?
XR: I usually support Kaizer Chiefs the most. Although, Arsenal are my favourite at the moment and I hope we win the Europa League.
Good luck with that. So, who is your favourite player at the moment?
XR: It’s definitely Percy Tau and I would love to see him at Arsenal one day, ha ha!
Like the wording on Sundowns’ emblem, “the sky is the limit” for him. Lastly,who’s your favourite backpage tipster?
XR: That’s a tough one as I follow all these tipsters, but if I were to pick one, I’d say it’s the Special One.
