TS GALAXY HIT WITH A FIFA BAN

DStv Premiership side TS Galaxy have been hit with a FIFA transfer ban.

The Rockets enjoyed a productive 2023/24 season, ending in sixth place on the league standings.

They would have been already planning to strengthen their side ahead of the upcoming campaign but have now been dealt a massive blow.

According to reports, the club have been banned from registering players for the next three transfer windows.

This comes following a contractual dispute with Bernard Yao Kouassi and an unpaid amount of R1.8 million owed to the former player.

The Ivorian striker joined the club in January 2023 but was out of the club by August, without making a single appearance.

A FIFA statement read: “A ban from registering new players internationally has been implemented by FIFA as of today.

“Moreover, and in accordance with the aforementioned decision. Respondents  member association is requested to immediately implement on the respondent, the Club TS Galaxy FC, a ban from registering new players at national level.”
