Cape Town City has reportedly secured the signing of highly-rated South African U20 captain, Patrick Autata.
The 18-year-old midfielder has impressed with his dominant performances for TS Galaxy’s U19 Gauteng Development League team and also featured for their DStv Diski Challenge (DDC) side, coached by Bernard Parker.
Autata led South Africa’s U20 team in the COSAFA Cup, earning a Man of the Match award and being named to the tournament’s Group Stage Best XI, alongside five other South African players and coach Raymond Mdaka.
According to iDiski Times, Autata’s transfer to the Citizens will be finalized during this transfer window after both clubs reached an agreement. Cape Town City anticipates that Autata’s leadership and midfield prowess will be a valuable asset in their pursuit of the DDC league title.
