English Premier League | Wednesday 31 January | Wembley Stadium | 22:00

The biggest Premier League tie of gameweek 25 sees Tottenham and Manchester United go head to head at Wembley Stadium on Wednesday.

Jose Mourinho’s men are second in the table with 53 points, eight points above Mauricio Pochettino’s side who occupy fifth place.

United claimed a 1-0 victory over Tottenham at Old Trafford in October, but Spurs missed the goalscoring threat and presence of Harry Kane who was ruled out of that game with a hamstring injury.

Spurs will have their star striker this time, but also United will have Alexis Sanchez, who scored in Arsenal colours against Pochettino’s side this season.

To Win

Tottenham 13/10

Draw 9/4

Man United 43/20

Tottenham

Tottenham were held to a 1-1 draw away to Southampton last weekend. Both Christian Eriksen and Hugo Lloris missed the tie through illness and Pochettino will be desperate to have them back for United.

Spurs went five games unbeaten at White Hart Lane against United, but now Pochettino’s side will be hoping they can continue at their temporary home. Only Chelsea have beaten them at Wembley this season. However, that was their first home game of the season. Since then, Spurs recorded seven wins from their next 11 games, including an emphatic 4-1 victory over Liverpool in October.

After missing the reverse tie, Kane will look to make the difference for Spurs this time. The 24-year-old has nine goals in his last five Premier League starts and is now just a goal away from becoming the 27th member of the ‘100 Club’. He would love to achieve that in such a big game.

Manchester United

Manchester United ground out a 1-0 win away to Burnley last weekend thanks to a goal from Anthony Martial. This was United’s third Premier League win in a row and extended their unbeaten run to eight matches.

United fans will be excited to see new signing Alexis Sanchez make his Premier League debut for the club. Although he has nothing to prove, the Chilean would want to show the world he is worth every penny. Sanchez’s arrival will take the goalscoring burden off Romelu Lukaku’s shoulders.

Mourinho’s men are aiming to complete a league double over Spurs for the first time since the 2011/2012 campaign.

Probable line-ups:

Tottenham: 4-2-3-1

Lloris; Aurier, Sanchez, Vertonghen, Davies; Dier, Dembele; Eriksen, Dele, Son; Kane.

Manchester United: 4-2-3-1

De Gea; Jones, Valencia, Smalling, Young; Matic, Pogba; Lingard, Martial, Sanchez; Lukaku.

Prediction: Tottenham Win/Draw & BTTS (13/10)

This promises to be an exciting affair and one thing I’m expecting to see is goals. Both sides have got great quality in attack and 8/10 for Both Teams to Score is a top bet. It’s tough to call who will win it, but I’m going for Spurs on the Win/Draw & Both Teams to Score at 13/10.
