Miguel Timm has put pen to paper on a new contract extension, solidifying his future with Orlando Pirates. The 32-year-old midfielder, a key figure for the club since his arrival in July 2022, has extended his stay until the 2024/25 campaign, with an option for an additional season after that.
With the transfer window looming, Timm’s contract extension is a positive sign for the Bucs as they gear up for the upcoming season. This comes after several first-team players were shown the door.

This is a welcome boost for the Soweto Giants as Timm has established himself as a vital cog in the team and a fan favorite. During his stint at the club, he has registered 63 appearances for the Sea Robbers – winning four cups.
His seniority at the club, experience in the league, and leadership on the pitch will be invaluable as the club strives for its first DStv Premiership trophy since the 2011/12 season.
