Tim Sukazi confirms Samukelo Kabini's record transfer

The chairman of TS Galaxy Tim Sukazi has confirmed the record-breaking transfer of defender Samukelo Kabini to Norwegian club Molde FK.

For weeks, rumors swirled about Molde’s interest in the 21-year-old South African defender, with reports suggesting a R15 million transfer fee secured his move to Europe.

Sukazi expressed pride in Kabini’s transfer, emphasizing that the youngster’s quality justified the significant offer from the Norwegian champions.

“Yes, Samukelo Kabini has signed for Norwegian top-flight club Molde FK, a team that has won consecutive league titles and competes in the UEFA Champions League. This is a transfer fee in euros, and it’s a record deal for us. But I’d hate to focus on that because there should be no limit – the quality should dictate the price, and Kabini’s quality speaks for itself,” Sukazi told SABC Sport.

“We have transformed boys into men, and this move is great for the country as well.”

Kabini joins Molde FK, one of Norway’s most successful clubs, boasting five league titles in the country’s top division.

Sukazi is content with the move, highlighting TS Galaxy’s growing reputation as a development hub for young talent. He referenced previous transfers, including Aphelele Teto, who moved to Scottish club Livingston before returning to Chippa United on loan.

“It is clear what type of club Kabini will be joining, and we are happy with that. This move also proves that TS Galaxy has become the university of football, producing top talent and tactically sound players ready for the highest level,” Sukazi added.

The talented young defender will now look to establish himself in European football, continuing TS Galaxy’s legacy of nurturing stars for the global stage.
