Mamelodi Sundowns have officially promoted talented teenage defender Thato Sibiya to the first team.
The 19-year-old South Africa under 20 international transitioned to the senior set-up after staring for the Brazilians’ youth and DStv Diski Challenge teams.
He has already been training with the first team and has now signed his first professional contract.

“Having come through the Sundowns Academy & proven himself as a standout performer in the DStv Diski Challenge (DDC), Thato’s journey reflects hard work, humility & perseverance. Sibiya will have a chance to make his senior debut when Sundowns face Orlando Pirates in the Betway Premiership this weekend.
