Things aren’t going much better in the Northeast.
After dabbling in a bit of fascism with Paolo Di Canio, Sunderland have again taken a risk on a young foreign manager, this time with Gus Poyet.
While his time at Brighton was an undoubted success, he has plenty of work to do if he is to get this eclectic mix of nationalities playing as a team.
They were better off calling in the UN. Irrespective, their visit to Swansea will give the Uruguayan a chance to get off on the right foot.
The Swans have been a model of inconsistency themselves and they currently sit outside the relegation zone only on goal difference.
