SuperSport United will continue their bid for survival when they take on Orlando Pirates at the Peter Mokaba Stadium later this evening.
Matsatsantsa will welcome the Mighty Buccaneers with their sights firmly set on putting some distance between themselves and the drop zone.

SuperSport United’s battle to avoid relegation intensified after they suffered a narrow 2-1 loss to Stellenbosch FC in an away fixture on 17 May. The defeat brought an end to Matsatsantsa’s four-match unbeaten streak and left the Tshwane outfit teetering dangerously close to the relegation zone.
The loss sees SuperSport currently occupying 14th place in the Betway Premiership standings, level on points with Cape Town City, who sit in 15th — the relegation playoff position.
With just a slim margin separating them from potential demotion, SuperSport will view their upcoming clash against Orlando Pirates as a crucial opportunity to regain stability and secure vital points. Orlando Pirates, on the other hand, head into the fixture with momentum on their side. The Soweto giants are unbeaten in their last two league outings, having drawn 1-1 with TS Galaxy at home on 17 May and previously securing a win over Golden Arrows.
Although their chances of clinching the title are long gone — Mamelodi Sundowns have already been crowned champions with an unassailable 17-point lead — Pirates have cemented second place on the table with three matches remaining.
While SuperSport fight to avoid the drop, the Pirates will be playing for pride and to maintain their unbeaten run as the season winds down.

The 46 000 seater stadium will host the clash between SuperSport United and Orlando Pirates. The stadium is one of five new stadiums that were built for the 2010 FIFA World Cup and hosted four Group matches during the tournament of the 2010 FIFA World Cup. The Polokwane based stadium is expected to be filled to the rafters, as is the case when Chiefs are in town.
The stadium was constructed ahead of the 2010 FIFA World Cup and was officially opened in 2009. It’s unique design, particularly the arch, has made it an iconic structure in the city, and it contributes significantly to Durban’s tourism.
