For all the good he has done, Brendan Rodgers team selection was poor at best last weekend.
His decision to play four centre-backs was as bizarre as it was stupid, as his team ended up conceding from a set-piece to go down to Southampton.
The return of Suarez did little to distract from Daniel Sturridge’s obvious need for a rest.
With Sunderland this weekend it will be interesting to see how he handles the need for rotation.
