Real Madrid claimed a 2-1 victory over Barcelona that sent them to second spot on the table as Lionel Messi’s Clasico goal drought went on. Atletico Madrid stumbled again in its bid to win a first Spanish league title in seven seasons after drawing 1-1 at Real Betis on Sunday, leaving them narrowly ahead of second-placed Real Madrid and Barcelona. Only three points separate the top three teams and as things stand, Los Blancos have the advantage as they have a better head-to-head record against both teams. Who will win La Liga? We’ll take a step closer to finding out.
Sunday 18 April
Osasuna 9/10
Draw 9/4
Elche 34/10
(14:00)
With both teams at the bottom half of the table, expect an open game at El Sadar on Sunday. Besides, these sides always score against each other and the visitors have been scoring and conceding recently. Back Osasuna to Win and Both Teams to Score at 4/1.
Real Sociedad 16/10
Draw 9/4
Sevilla 17/10
(14:00)
Sevilla look like they have secured top four as they are well clear of fifth-placed Real Sociedad whom they will be visiting. A win here for the visitors will end every little chance Sociedad have. The home team are equal on points with Real Betis, meaning they need to give it their all or they will miss out on the Europa League next season. Tough game this but back Both Teams to Score at 9/10.
Atletico Madrid 9/20
Draw 32/10
Eibar 13/2
(16:15)
Atletico Madrid were knocked out of the UEFA Champions League by Chelsea last month and their miseries continued to haunt them as they went on to lose against Sevilla and drew with Real Betis. One point in the last two games mean Diego Simeone’s men have to do things the hard way and win all their remaining games or they will kiss their title hopes goodbye. This is a good opportunity for them to return to winning ways.
Alaves 29/20
Draw 2/1
Huesca 2/1
(16:15)
Both teams will be in search of three points as Alaves entertain Huesca on Sunday afternoon. The visitors have been buzzing since the start of the year and the amount of points they’ve collected is amazing. Going into Christmas break, Huesca had never won a La Liga match, but they have since won five matches which include back-to-back wins against Levante and Elche. This is a good chance for the visitors to record three wins in a row for the first time ever in La Liga. Back Huseca to win this match and include them in all multiples.
Cadiz 49/20
Draw 23/10
Celta Vigo 11/10
(18:30)
Cadiz have won three of their last five matches which include the recent back-to-back wins against Valencia and Getafe. They welcome a Celta Vigo side that is also in fine form and it’s a team that thrashed them 4-0 in the first round. I’m expecting an open game here so I’ll back Over 2.5 Goals.
Real Betis 19/20
Draw 49/20
Valencia 28/10
(18:30)
Real Betis are on cloud nine at the moment, the team is absolutely buzzing. The hosts have lost just once in their last eight matches, winning five and drawing two. This kind of form suggest that Betis shouldn’t have no problems beating an inconsistent team like Valencia. Back Real Betis to win here.
Getafe 4/1
Draw 51/20
Real Madrid 7/10
(21:00)
Real Madrid are now one point behind log leaders Atletico Madrid who are in a rut of bad form and Los Blancos will now feel confident of retaining their crown. The confidence is high after last weekend’s El Clasico win. Back Real Madrid on the (-1) Handicap at 39/20.
Levante 29/10
Draw 9/4
Villarreal 1/1
(21:00)
Villarreal rested key players Gerard Moreno and Carlos Bacca in last weekend’s defeat against Osasuna. The rest was simply because they are focusing more on the Europa League. I’m expecting a strong team in this match. Levante have been decent this season, especially in such matches. Back these sides to cancel each other out.
DOUBLE @ 14/1
Osasuna Win & BTTS 4/1
Huesca Win 2/1
