Sitting level on points with the Chelsea, Southampton have made an impressive start to the season.
While this is hardly surprising given their transfer dealings and fixture list, it is their defensive record that has made me reconsider just what this team is capable of.
They’ll be up against last term’s second-season wonders, Swansea, at St Mary’s on Sunday.
The Swans have grown into the season and despite going down to a rampant Arsenal last week, look a shoe-in for a top ten finish.

Both matches last season ended draws, so I wouldn’t think that there’d be much in this one. But with Lambert and Osvaldo finally starting to gel upfront, I’m going for a home win, priced well at 21/20.
