iDiski Times reports that Baartman was advised to retire, as his back injury is expected to persist and could lead to further complications if he continues playing.
Baartman reportedly suffered a spinal injury during a training session with Sekhukhune and had to undergo surgery to attempt to correct the issue, however, it seems the injury has forced the promising defender into an early retirement.
He made 11 appearances for Babina Noko, starting ten of them, including five full matches in successive CAF Confederation Cup campaigns, playing the full 90 minutes in a 2-0 league win over Richards Bay.
