PSL senior official Professor Ronnie Schloss

The 16 stadiums chosen to host the remaining PSL games of the 2019/20 season are all ready for the first round of games.

PSL senior official Professor Ronnie Schloss confirmed that all of the venues have been prepared and now meet all the necessary standards.

“All the venues have been approved and it’s all systems go to complete the season. You must remember that we are not going to play on any new venues‚ so they will be ready‚” Schloss said, as quoted by SowetanLIVE.

University of Pretoria facilities manager Garfield Theunis has also assured that the Tuks Stadium is ready to host both PSL and National First Division games.

“Our facilities are ready and in very good condition to welcome the teams next week. We got a certificate to be classified as essential services during the lockdown where we worked with skeleton staff and followed the health and safety guidelines,” said Theunis.

“That has helped us a great deal because we managed to keep our facilities in good condition.”

The first games after the four-month hiatus will be the Nedbank Cup semi-finals which will take place at Orlando Stadium on Saturday, August 8.
