Arsenal are expected to appoint former Paris Saint-Germain manager Unai Emery as their new head coach.
Former Gunners midfielder and Manchester City assistant coach Mikel Arteta was thought to be the front runner for the post vacated by Arsene Wenger.
However, it has now emerged that 46-year-old Spanish manager Emery will be unveiled this week after successful talks in London, with many as ten candidates reportedly considered.
Emery is a former Valencia, Spartak Moscow and Sevilla coach, who led PSG to the Ligue 1 title last season while also claiming the Coupe de France twice, the Coupe de la Ligue twice, and two Trophee des Champions.
He also enjoyed success with Spain, picking up three consecutive Europa League triumphs with Sevilla.
It is thought that his failure in the Champions League, where Paris lost to finalists Real Madrid in the last-16 ultimately cost him his job in France.
If reports are to be believed, then Emery was chosen for the post ahead of other potentials including Massimiliano Allegri, Luis Enrique, Carlo Ancelotti, Rafa Benitez, Thierry Henry, Patrick Vieira and Arteta.
