PSL AWARDS: Everything you need to know, How to watch, start time & the full list of nominees

The PSL awards will take centre stage this evening; Orlando Pirates’ Relebohile Mofokeng, Lucas Ribeiro of Mamelodi Sundowns and Sekhukhune United’s Keletso Makgalwa are competing for the Footballer of the Season award.

In the previous ceremony, Ronwen Williams stood out as the major winner, receiving both the Footballer of the Season and Goalkeeper of the Season awards. This year, he is nominated again for the Goalkeeper of the Season nod.

Patrick Maswanganyi, who took home three awards last season, did not receive any nominations this time around.

Last season was nothing short of drama. Royal AM was expelled from the league, and Cape Town City was relegated through play-offs, while Magesi FC, who were promoted at the start of the 2024/25 season, shocked the country by defeating the defending league champions, Mamelodi Sundowns, to win the Carling Knockout Cup.

Sundowns went on to create history by clinching their 15th league title, which was their eighth league trophy in succession.

Meanwhile, in Soweto, Orlando Pirates opened the season by successfully defending their MTN8 trophy, while Kaizer Chiefs ended a decade-long trophy drought by winning the Nedbank Cup.

How to watch
