It’s another weekend of tantalizing action in the Premier League, the race for Europe, the quest for survival and the title race still captures the imaginations of fans around the world – but would you really expect anything less from the greatest league in world football?
I know we say that a lot – but it is true.

31/20 Luton | Draw 51/20 | Everton 31/20 (21:00)
Luton have shown they are happy to be brave and play expansive football, my only concern with that is they are left incredibly vulnerable at the back. Everton come into the game with incredible confidence – and to be fair, I don’t think I’ve seen them play better than they did against Liverpool.
Surely the Toffee’s consolidate that and the Brentford win.

1/5 Arsenal | Draw 6/1 | Bournemouth 10/1 (13:30)
Arsenal is showing guts and determination, there is no doubt about it. However, with that being said, I am inclined to share the opinion of Paul Merson – they are just unlucky to be playing football in the era with this City side.
I think the home win is certain here, but I think both teams score as well.
21/20 Brentford | Draw 26/10 | Fulham 43/20 (16:00)
These two teams are happy to have a crack at whoever is in front of them, which should make for a largely entertaining game. I still think Brentford have gone off the boil a little and cost themselves a really good season, but that is sport I suppose.
Fulham blow hot and cold, for me it’s a home win.
47/20 Burnley | Draw 28/10 | Newcastle 19/20 (16:00)
Burnley have continued to give themselves hope of staying up this year, but they have to get something from every game. Newcastle have shown they are happy to exploit defensive frailty, but cutting through Burnley will require a bit more patient play.
I’m going to back under 2.5 goals at incredibly generous odds.
38/10 Sheffield United | Draw 31/10 | Nottm Forest 6/10 (16:00)
Sheffield is dead and buried, you might have expected them to show some sort of fight in these latter parts of the season but that hasn’t really been the case at all. Forest will still be hopeful of ensuring they secure Premier League football next season, and I’m still a massive fan of their attacking impotence.
I’m on the away win here.
1/10 Manchester City | Draw 15/2 | Wolves 18/1 (18:30)
Wolves are in awful form, so this might be a bit of a demolition job! City have continued to be so impressive though, I mean when you see a team perform like that week in and week out, who can get anywhere near them?
I’m not going to pander to the point though, City win by as much as they like here. Back the away win and over 3.5 goals.
Sunday 5 May
6/10 Chelsea | Draw 34/10 | West Ham 7/2 (15:00)
Is there a more difficult game to call this weekend? There is absolutely no way of knowing which Chelsea side or West Ham side show up for this one. Either of them could win, and yet almost equally, either could be well beaten.
I like the look of the home win here though. Chelsea has some really good players who are beginning to come together well, and at 6/10 it doesn’t need much more convincing does it?
19/10 Brighton | Draw 26/10 | Aston Villa 5/4 (15:00)
This game at any other point in the season looks to be a really evenly matched encounter, right now though, I think the Aston Villa win is an absolute banker! I cannot believe the price available on the away win as well, they have put in more complete performances and managed to remain more consistent – I’m all in.
Monday 6 May
14/10 C Palace | Draw 51/20 | Manchester United 33/20 (21:00)
Palace have found a bit of form recently; they are registering really positive performances but also scoring a stack of goals! The front line of Mateta, Olise and Eze will no doubt create chances for fun and given United’s insecurity at the back – I have no doubt the score.
Manchester United have effectively played themselves out of the Champions League, but I suppose if you’re feeling sympathetic, you can look at their injuries and forced changes to the squad this year…
Nevertheless, both teams scoring and over 2.5 is the second banker for the weekend.
