Tottenham Hotspur have set their sights on Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson as they look to reinforce their frontline following a turbulent spell.
The North London club is reeling from the exit of star forward Son Heung-min—who racked up 23 goal involvements last season before his move to LAFC—and the sidelining of playmaker James Maddison, also responsible for 23 goal contributions, due to a long-term injury.

With their attacking depth severely tested, Spurs are actively pursuing new options, and Jackson has quickly risen to the top of their wish list.
According to a report from football.london, Spurs have initiated contact with Chelsea regarding Jackson’s availability, particularly if their Brazilian striker Richarlison departs.
The 24-year-old Senegalese international, who scored 24 goals and provided 10 assists in 65 Premier League appearances for Chelsea since joining from Villarreal in 2023, is valued at around 60 million pounds.
“Jackson brings something different,” said former Chelsea striker Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink on Channel 5. “He causes chaos for opposition defenders and would be an asset for certain teams.”
Tottenham’s interest comes amid uncertainty over Richarlison’s future. While earlier reports suggested he could leave, his recent performance, including a stunning bicycle kick in a 2-0 win over Burnley, has solidified his place under manager Thomas Frank. This reduces the likelihood of his exit, potentially complicating Spurs’ financial plans to secure Jackson.
The north Londoners had been close to signing Eze for 67.5 million pounds, but Arsenal swooped in to finalize the deal. With Jackson also attracting interest from Aston Villa and Newcastle United, Spurs face competition to land the versatile forward.
Posts on X further indicate strong interest from Newcastle, with additional attention from Italian clubs like AC Milan and Juventus.
Chelsea, however, are in no rush to sell. Manager Enzo Maresca has acknowledged Jackson’s potential exit, stating, “He is training with us, but the window is open. He can leave, and we’ll see.” With Jackson’s contract running until 2033, Chelsea hold a strong negotiating position.
Tottenham’s pursuit of Jackson signals their intent to remain competitive in the Premier League’s top-four race. Whether they can secure the deal before the transfer window closes remains a key storyline to watch.
