Nasreddine Nabi ready for a tough clash against SuperSport United

Kaizer Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi is expecting a very challenging encounter against SuperSport United in the Carling Knockout Cup on Saturday.

Amakhosi have started their season well under Nabi with wins over Marumo Gallants and AmaZulu and a narrow loss to Mamelodi Sundowns.

SuperSport, meanwwhile, have just one win from their opening four games, beating TS Galaxy 1-0, alongside one draw and two losses.

They also lost 3-1 to Orlando Pirates in the quarter-finals of the MTN8.

Nabi knows though that form is put to one side in cup competitions and is hopeful of securing his side’s place in the quarter-finals of the competition.

The Chiefs boss said in the Citizen: “I am expecting a very challenging game, SuperSport are a very good team, I watched them during the MTN8 game (quarterfinal) against Orlando Pirates.

“They almost won the game. They had the possibility to win except for a mistake by the referee. They had a penalty not given. That is the reality.”

Nabi added: “They are aggressive, a very committed and tactically organised team.

“My colleague Gavin (Hunt) has a lot of skill and experience. He knows how to manage people and prepare players.”
