Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi is facing increasing pressure after his team’s 2-1 loss to Golden Arrows and has called on supporters to be patient.
This marked Chiefs’ 10th league defeat of the season, leaving fans frustrated as the team struggles to find consistent form.
The match saw Yusuf Maart miss a crucial penalty in the 12th minute before Golden Arrows took the lead through Nduduzo Sibiya in the 28th minute.
Maart redeemed himself with an equaliser four minutes later, but Knox Mutizwa secured all three points for Arrows with a decisive 78th-minute goal.
The result leaves Arrows sitting 10th in the Betway Premiership standings, while Chiefs continue to falter.
Despite the pressure, Nabi has called for patience as the club undergoes a rebuilding phase.
Addressing frustrated supporters, he urged them to direct their criticism at him rather than the players, insisting that his squad is working hard to improve.
“I want patience, give me patience. I am very sorry, honestly,” the coach said.
“I am very sorry for the result. I am the first man with big frustration. We understand altogether the frustration for the team at this moment, but please don’t panic. We’ll continue to work seriously [and] give 200% for the club.
“But don’t panic, please, and don’t attack the players. I offer that you can attack me now, it’s normal, but don’t attack the players.
“Protect the team and the players because the season is not finished and I am sure we will change the situation.”
Amakhosi will return to league action on 5 April when they host TS Galaxy with kick-off set for 19:00.
