Mvala wants Chiefs, Bucs or Downs switch in future

Highlands Park striker Mothobi Mvala

Highlands Park midfielder Mothobi Mvala says he hopes to secure a move to either Kaizer Chiefs, Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns in future.

Mvala has now scored seven league goals in 2018/19 for the Lions of the North and is wanted by a number of sides in South Africa’s top flight.

Highlands turned down a R10 million offer for his services from an unnamed team during the January transfer window.

Nonetheless, the forward says he is committed to his current club but would love to move elsewhere in future.

He said: “It shows that I’m playing well and it gives me confidence to do more work but there is nothing more I can do because I’m still contracted to Highlands Park.

“If the club is not willing to let me go there is nothing I can do, so my focus is on Highlands Park at the moment.

“It all depends on the club because I’m contracted to them. If they say Mothobi I can go, I will definitely go. If they say stay there is nothing I can do because I’m still contracted to them and I have to honour my contract.

“It will be a good move for me if I can join one of the big teams. It is a dream of every player to play for one of the big teams.

“But if it doesn’t happen there is nothing I can do.”
