Among the notable selections is 21-year-old defender Olwethu Makhanya, who has been turning heads at Philadelphia Union in Major League Soccer. The ex-Stellenbosch centre-back was instrumental in helping the club secure top spot in last season’s regular standings.
The squad also features new faces such as Renaldo Leaner, Vuyo Letlapa and AmaZulu goalkeeper Darren Johnson, while Germany-based defender Ime Okon has also been included.
Midfielder Jayden Adams returns after a strong run of form with Mamelodi Sundowns, with experienced players including Themba Zwane and Thapelo Morena also part of the group.
