Mamelodi Sundowns coach Miguel Cardoso says he’s not concerned that only Iqraam Rayners has scored under his tenure.
Rayners has been on top form in his first season for the Brazilians this season, netting a whopping 13 goals in 17 games in all competitions
Since Cardoso took over at the club from Manqoba Mngqithi last month, Rayners netted in the 1-0 CAF Champions League win over Raja Casablanca and 1-0 league wins over Stellenbosch and AmaZulu.
When asked if he felt it was an issue, the Portuguese said in the Citizen: “I’m not really worried. I’d be worried if we were not creating so many chances like we did in the last games.
“We arrived in the box, we arrived with many players, we’ve had goal situations.
“Hopefully Iqraam is doing goals, I believe we will have many more players who can make goals.
“They’ll find them naturally, if they continue they will score naturally. If Iqraam is in position he will continue scoring goals but we will also have other players who score.”
Sundowns are next in action away to Richards Bay on Saturday 28 December.
