Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Miguel Cardoso has urged his players to remain focused and maintain their winning momentum as they edge closer to the title.
Cardoso emphasized the importance of treating every remaining fixture with the utmost respect, warning against complacency during the final stretch of the season.
“We need to play each match with great respect because we don’t know if we’ll drop points along the way. Each game takes us closer to our objective, but we still have to earn those points. There’s a big respect for the next game,” said the Sundowns coach.
The Portuguese tactician stressed the importance of intensity and commitment from every player as the title chase tightens.
“We need to put all our energy on the pitch – no one wants to be left out at this stage. We play with respect and humility, and being humble is a value that keeps us focused on our responsibilities.”
Cardoso concluded by highlighting the need for a disciplined finish to the season.
“I won’t let the boys lose focus. Finishing the championship in the right way, with the right attitude, is what we must do.”
The Brazilians have 61 points and lead second-placed Orlando Pirates by 12 points.
