Kaizer Chiefs attacker Mfundo Vilakazi is confident his team can continue to get positive results ahead of the Betway Premiership clash against Marumo Gallants.
The 20-year-old featured prominently in Amakhosi’s historic first win away in Zambia against ZESCO United on Sunday and has now turned his attention to the league clash against a tricky Gallants side.
“Because of the AFCON break, there’s very little time between games but as players we have to adjust to the situation and get on with it,” said Vilakazi to the club website.
“As a player, I am just looking to help the team because everyone is going to have to contribute. I think the most important thing in these conditions is to get some rest between matches.”
Amakhosi will be looking to win their third consecutive match in all competitions in 2026 and are unbeaten in eight league fixtures ahead of the encounter with Bahlabane Ba Ntwa.
Meanwhile, Gallants have struggled this season and currently lie 12th, just three points above the relegation playoffs zone and have not won a league match since October last year.
“I believe that if we play our football, the results will come. It will be nice to get another three points away from home,” added Vilakazi.
The two teams will do battle at the Dr Molemela Stadium in Bloemfontein. Kick-off is at 19h30.
