Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Lucas Ribeiro and coach Miguel Cardoso emerged as the big winners of the Betway Premiership Monthly Awards for May.
Fresh off clinching their eighth successive league title, Sundowns scooped all the nods for this month, with Ribeiro taking home his third Player of the Month award, having received it in September and February.
Ribeiro scored three goals this month, an opener during their 3-0 win against Stellenbosch and a brace against Magesi in their last fixture of the season. He came up top ahead of fellow teammates Iqraam Rayner and Marcello Allende.
The 26-year-old was also rewarded with the Betway Premiership Goal of the Month award for his well-taken strike against Magesi during their closing league match.
Cardoso was placed first over Richards Bay FC coach Ronnie Gabriel and former Orlando Pirates mentor Jose Riveiro, following an impressive month where he steered Masandawana to victory in all five of their league matches.
The Portuguese tactician scooped this nod in December, his first month at the helm of the Brasilians and also in February. The pair remains strong contenders for PSL Coach and Player of the Season awards.
