Mamelodi Sundowns have confirmed the high-profile signing of Portuguese midfielder Miguel Silva Reisinho on a two-year deal just days after landing Nuno Santos.
Reisinho, 26, joins as a free agent following his departure from Boavista in July. The move allows Sundowns to register him outside of the transfer window. His unveiling was made via a video announcement on X, captioned: “A NEW JOURNEY BEGINS.”
The midfielder is the club’s fourth signing of the season, following the arrivals of Santos, Faawaz Basadien, and Katlego ‘Tsiki’ Ntsabeleng.
Reisinho and Santos previously played together in Portugal’s U-18, U-19, and U-20 national teams, and both spent time at Vitoria Guimaraes, where Reisinho was also a teammate of South Africa’s Haashim Domingo in the B team.
Sundowns, currently second on the Betway Premiership table with 18 points from nine matches, trail Sekhukhune United and are under pressure after a 1-0 loss to Golden Arrows.
Reisinho could make his debut in the upcoming league match against Richards Bay FC.
