The visitors, however, started more brightly, with Polokwane City’s Manuel Kambala forcing an early save from Chiefs goalkeeper Brandon Petersen. The first half was a balanced affair, with both teams creating chances.
Sirino’s free-kick went wide, and Petersen was called into action again to deny Mokibelo Ramabu. Chiefs’ best opportunity of the half came when Glodly Lilepo rattled the crossbar with a powerful header.

The changes paid off in the 79th minute when Siphesihle Ndlovu, a late substitute, picked up the ball inside the box and fired a low shot into the bottom corner, scoring the only goal of the game.
Despite late efforts from both sides to either extend the lead or find an equalizer, the score remained 1-0, securing a crucial three points for the home team.
