Richards Bay FC face a key decision over the future of central defender Keegan Allan, whose contract is set to expire on 30 June.
The 24-year-old has been a reliable presence in the heart of defence since joining the club at the start of the 2024/25 campaign.
Allan, who previously had a brief stint at SuperSport United and also featured for Moroka Swallows – a club he left due to salary issues – has made 27 appearances across all competitions for Richards Bay this season, contributing one goal and one assist.
His consistent performances have made him a regular starter and a vital part of the team’s backline.
His agent, Mike Makaab, revealed to FARPost that there is interest in Allan from other clubs, although he declined to reveal any specific names.
Makaab also confirmed that ongoing discussions are taking place with Richards Bay, who are keen to retain the defender’s services for the 2025/26 season.
With Allan’s contract expiring in just a few weeks, the coming days could prove decisive in determining his next move.
Whether he opts to remain at Richards Bay or explore opportunities elsewhere remains to be seen.
