Cupido was announced on 29 January as their latest signing prior to the close of the January transfer window.
The 27-year-old former Bidvest Wits and AC Ajaccio defender spent five seasons with the Citizens, playing 143 times.

Cupid added his delight at the deal, saying: “I feel like this is a full circle for me. I came here as a kid, I left and now I’m back.
“This is the proudest moment for me as a footballer cause I know the standards of Mamelodi Sundowns and I feel like I need keep the standards as well.
“My name is Keanu Cupido and I’m Yellow.”
Cupido comes in as Rushine De Reuck leaves the club to join Maccabi Petah Tikva on a loan deal for the remainder of the season.
The Brazilians are gearing up for a return to Betway Premiership on Saturday where they will welcome Lamontville Golden Arrows in a bid to extend their lead at the helm of the table. It remains to be seen whether or not the new recruit will make his debut in the match.
