Kaizer Chiefs Transfer News: Zajmovic Left Puzzled by Lack of Kaizer Chiefs Interest

Former TS Galaxy striker Dzenan Zajmovic has spoken out about the recent transfer rumors linking him to Kaizer Chiefs, expressing his surprise that the club never made a move for him.

The Bosnian forward, who left the Rockets on July 31, was seen by many as a potential replacement for striker Ranga Chivaviro, but Amakhosi ultimately signed Flavio Silva instead.

Zajmovic enjoyed a successful season with TS Galaxy, scoring 11 goals and providing two assists across all competitions. His performance was crucial in Adnan Beganovic’s system, and his departure came as a surprise to many.

The 30-year-old took to social media to thank his former club, stating, “Unfortunately, my chapter at TS Galaxy has come to an end. It truly felt like being part of a family.”

The Agent Dilemma

In an interview with SoccerBeat, Zajmovic shared his bewilderment regarding the lack of interest from big clubs like Kaizer Chiefs. “I had a good season, a solid season,” he said. “I don’t know what to say. It’s strange. I don’t know why.”

When asked if he or his representatives had tried to contact Kaizer Chiefs, Zajmovic revealed a potential reason for the silence. “I also don’t have an agent, like an official agent. Maybe, that’s also a problem,” he explained.

The striker, who has had “a lot of bad experiences with agents in the past,” handles his own affairs, which may have hindered his chances of being scouted by top-tier teams.

Kaizer Chiefs have been active in the transfer window and have confirmed the likes of Paseka Mako, Thabiso Monyane, Siphesihle Ndlovu, Ethan Chislett, Flavio Silva and Nkanyiso Shinga.

AmaKhosi will kick off their new Betway Premiership campaign against Stellenbosch this Sunday, August 10, at Athlone Stadium at 17:30.
