Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed parting ways with midfielder Mduduzi Mdantsane ahead of their pre-season trip to the Netherlands.
The 30-year-old is the fifth confirmed player to leave the club, following the announcements regarding Sabelo Radebe, Njabulo Blom, Ranga Chivaviro, and Edmilson Dove, who are all departing from Naturena.
Mdantsane joined Amakhosi following an impressive spell with Cape Town City, where he was featured in 109 matches, scored 21 goals and provided seven assists across all competitions. However, he struggled to break into Chiefs’ starting line-up and was later loaned to Richards Bay, where he made only three appearances.
“The 30-year-old player joined Amakhosi from Cape Town City at the beginning of the 2023/24 season. Last season, in order to accumulate some game-time after recovering from injury, he spent the latter part the campaign on loan at Richards Bay FC,” Chiefs said in a statement.
During his time with the Glamour Boys, he was featured in 16 matches across all competitions.
As Nasreddine Nabi prepares for a new season after a disastrous 2024/25 campaign, more exits should be expected prior to their trip to the Netherlands from 3 to 19 July.
