The Serie A returns on Friday with Juventus and Napoli’s title-contest heating up! Both teams are on a seven-match winning streak and will be determined to maintain that form. The relegation battle is also likely to go down to the wire, with Spal 2013, Hellas Verona and Benevento all marinating in the drop zone. Enough said, let’s get to it!
Friday 9 February
Fiorentina 7/2
Draw 49/20
Juventus 8/10
(21:45)
Fiorentina ended a terrible run of four matches without a win after edging Bologna 2-1 away from home last time out. Next up is reigning champions Juventus, who were outstanding at the weekend, hammering Sassuolo 7-0! The Viola are winless in their last four games on home soil, including a disappointing 4-1 defeat at the hands of Hellas Verona last time around. Juventus offer good value for the win – get on at 8/10!
Saturday 10 February
Spal 38/10
Draw 26/10
AC Milan 15/20
(16:00)
Relegation-threatened Spal 2013 are staring down the barrel of second division football and will be desperate to find a bit of form in the hope of salvaging what has been a disastrous campaign for the new boys on the block. AC Milan are undefeated in their last five games and claimed a routine 2-0 home win in the reverse leg. Back the Rossoneri to do enough to get the victory.
Crotone 29/10
Draw 23/10
Atalanta 1/1
(19:00)
Crotone are off the back of a hard-fought 1-1 draw away to Inter Milan and they will hope to go one better this weekend with a win against Atalanta. The latter have been excellent on their travels with four wins on the spin, including victories at Roma and AC Milan. La Dea have won five of the last six meetings against Crotone, including a 5-1 thumping in the corresponding fixture. The away win is on the cards.
Napoli 13/20
Draw 3/1
Lazio 38/10
(21:45)
Napoli have been outstanding with seven consecutive wins, rising to the occasion, keeping Juventus from reclaiming top spot. Lazio have been poor of late with back-to-back defeats and that doesn’t look likely to improve here. The Azzurri have been superb at home this season with eight wins from 11 games, scoring 25 goals and conceding just seven. Back Napoli to come out on top!
Sunday 11 February
Sassuolo 11/10
Draw 23/10
Cagliari 26/10
(13:30)
Sassuolo come into this clash with their tails between their legs after Juventus obliterated the Black and Greens 7-0, stretching their winless run to five matches. Cagliari have travelled poorly but are coming off a 2-0 home win against Spal 2013 and will be hopeful of building on that. The hosts will need to be tighter at the back this week but after their demoralising defeat last time out, it’s difficult to see such a quick turnaround in form. For safe measure, take Cagliari on the Win/Draw Double Chance at 7/10.
Chievo Verona 21/10
Draw 2/1
Genoa 29/20
(16:00)
Chievo have been terrible in recent weeks with three consecutive losses, scoring just once and conceding eight times. Genoa impressed last time out, slaying Lazio 2-1 at the Stadio Olimpico but prior to the win, they had suffered two losses on the bounce. Despite their form being poor, the Gialloblu are priced up at a generous 21/10. Another Double Chance is in order – back the hosts on the Win/Draw at 5/10.
Sampdoria 9/20
Draw 37/10
Hellas Verona 52/10
(16:00)
Sampdoria are unbeaten in their last four matches with two wins and two draws. They have been strong on their ground with eight wins from 12 games, while Hellas Verona have claimed just two victories from 11 travels. The Scaligers did, however, thrash Fiorentina 4-1 in their last outing so I’m expecting them to find the back of the net. Both Teams to Score – Yes – is tipped at 13/20.
Torino 9/10
Draw 51/20
Udinese 3/1
(16:00)
Torino are unbeaten in their last six matches, including back-to-back 3-0 victories on home soil. Udinese have been impressive on the road with four wins from their last six games but have registered just one win from their last five matches overall. The Granata won the reverse leg 3-2 and will be looking to pull the double over their opponents. Torino are tipped to come out on top.
Inter Milan 5/10
Draw 32/10
Bologna 11/2
(16:00)
Inter Milan are without a win in their last eight matches, including five consecutive draws. Bologna have been dreadful with four losses from their last five games, including two defeats on the bounce. It’s difficult to back either team right now but with both sides struggling to find form, I’m expecting a low-scoring affair. The Totals – Under 2.5 Goals – is tipped at 19/20.
Roma 1/7
Draw 7/1
Benevento 15/1
(21:45)
Last but not least, Roma will take on relegation-bound Benevento on Sunday evening. The Giallorossi returned to winning ways last time out, grinding out a hard-earned 1-0 victory away to Hellas Verona. Basement-dwellers Benevento have been dreadful with 20 losses from 23 matches, scoring 13 goals and shipping a colossal 51! In my view, this is just a case of how much Roma will win this game by, so I’m getting all over the Home to Win Both Halves – Yes – market at 19/20.
TREBLE @ 56/10
Juventus Win 8/10
Torino Win 9/10
Roma Home to Win Both Halves 19/20
