Moggi: I think Ronaldo has already signed for Juve

Cristiano Ronaldo has already signed for the Old Lady and completed a medical.

Former Juventus chief managing director Luciano Moggi has revealed that he thinks Cristiano Ronaldo has already signed for the Old Lady and completed a medical.

Ronaldo, 33, is a five-time winner of the Ballon d’Or — which is a world record, shared with Barcelona’s Lionel Messi.

He has won three Champions League titles in a row with Real Madrid, but is reportedly on the verge of leaving them for Juventus.

Moggi was the head of Juve’s board from 1994 to 2006, when the club was relegated to Serie B as a result of the Calciopoli match-fixing scandal, in which he was a central figure.

According to him, he tried to bring Ronaldo to Juventus during his time at the club.

I received an alert,” Moggi told Tele7Gold. “I sent an observer to look at him, he was an 18-year-old boy, but he impressed me with his maturity and his choices.

“In the middle of the day I made the contract. Unfortunately, Marcelo Salas [who was supposed to be part of a swap deal] refused to sign for Sporting Lisbon because he wanted to return to River Plate.”

However, according to the 80-year-old, Juve’s long wait to sign Ronaldo is probably over.

“In my opinion, he has already signed and passed the medical examination with Juventus in Munich,” he said.

This is what I think after talking to important people.”

Ronaldo’s Portugal were eliminated from the FIFA World Cup in Russia after losing 2-1 to Uruguay in the last 16.
