Bafana head coach Hugo Broos says he’s waiting to discover the full extent of an injury sustained by defender Khuliso Mudau in their final Africa Cup of Nations Group E clash.
The Mamelodi Sundowns right-back was injured in the goalless draw with Tunisia on Wednesday night and replaced by Nyiko Mobbie at half-time.
Broos is hopeful though that the Premier Soccer League Defender of the Season will be fit for the last-16 clash with Morocco on Tuesday.
The Bafana boss said on iDiski Times: “I don’t know [what’s the prognosis of Mudau] we have to wait until tomorrow [to see how long he will be out], the fact that Khuliso had to go out was not a good sign.
“It was his ankle, so we’ll see tomorrow and make a good analysis of his injury, and then maybe, we can maybe decide if he should be ready or not for the next game [against Morocco].
“Let’s hope he returns.”
