The Abafana Bes’thende midfielder says Mngqithi’s demanding approach has pushed him to elevate his game and deliver consistently high-level performances.

Ndlovu joined Golden Arrows in 2022 after impressing on trial with the club’s DDC side. He spent one season in the reserves, where his development caught the attention of the technical team.

His progress was rewarded with a promotion to the senior squad by then coaches Vusumuzi Vilakazi and Mabhuti Khenyeza, a move that marked a turning point in his career.

“The arrival of coach Manqoba to the club helped me so much,” said Ndlovu.

“I feel that I have improved a lot because a lot of things, he’s always on my case. We fight a lot.

“But I can really see the results because everything I do on the field is how he coached and prepared me in training.

“I don’t pay a lot of attention to praise on social media.

“But on the other hand, it helps me because I wanna do better than what people have seen in me.

“But I’m happy with the level where I’m at right now.”

This season, Ndlovu has enjoyed a remarkable run of form, producing a string of standout displays in the Betway Premiership.

His contributions were recognised with both the Player of the Month and Goal of the Month awards for September/October, underlining his growing influence at top-flight level.
