Kaizer Chiefs interim co-head coach Cedric Kaze believes the team is on the verge of rediscovering its scoring touch as they prepare for a Carling Knockout Round of 16 clash against Stellenbosch FC this Sunday at DHL Stadium.
After an initially strong start that saw Amakhosi go five matches unbeaten, their momentum has stalled.

Following a league loss to Sekhukhune United and a CAF Confederation Cup defeat, Chiefs have struggled to find the back of the net consistently, scoring only one goal per game in their last four outings.
This culminated in a disappointing midweek 1-1 draw with AmaZulu, a result co-head coach Khalil Ben Youssef openly lamented due to the numerous missed chances.
Despite the recent dip that has left Chiefs fifth in the Premiership, Kaze remains optimistic. He pointed to an improvement in their attacking mechanics, stating: “The situations are a bit different.
“A few weeks go we were getting into the final third but the last pass and movements were not good enough. In the last two games, against Kabuscorp and AmaZulu, the passes and movement are there, it is just a question of not scoring.
“Yesterday (in Wednesday’s 1-1 draw at home to AmaZulu) we had 23 shots and eight on target. I believe if we can keep the momentum and keep our focus the goals are going to come soon.”
Kaizer Chiefs, nine points clear of 14th-placed Stellenbosch in the league, will look to prove their coach right and secure their passage to the quarter-finals. The two teams will lock horns at the DHL Stadium on Sunday, kick off is set at 15h00.
