Ghana Part Ways with Otto Addo two months before 2026 FIFA World Cup

The Black Stars qualified for the competition as Group I winners ahead of Madagascar, Mali, Comoros, Central African Republic and Chad.

They have, however, lost their last four friendly games, 2-0 to Japan, 1-0 to South Korea and most recently 5-1 to Austria and 2-1 to Germany on Monday night.

Ghana will play co-hosts Mexico and Wales in two final warm-up games ahead of Group L clashes with Panama, England and Croatia when the tournament kicks off in June.

“The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has parted ways with the Head Coach of the senior men’s national team (Black Stars), Otto Addo effective immediately,” read a GFA statement.
