Gert Schalkwyk has disappeared from Moroka Swallows despite being offered a deal by the club.
The Dube Birds coach Zeca Marques confirmed that the 31-year-old midfielder is nowhere to be found since he stopped training with the club a week ago.
“Look, I don’t know where he is. I made him an offer and Gert has not come to training for a week now. We don’t know where he’s gone… He hasn’t even SMSed me,” a livid Marques said.
This is the second time in just over a month that Swallows have found themselves in this situation.
On July 10, Marques confirmed that he had given up trying to lure Papi Zothwane to the club saying at the time the midfielder had not taken his calls or made contact with the club.
