German Bundesliga: Gameweek 32 Preview

Sebastian Rudy and Robert Lewandowski celebrating a goal

Bayern Munich – despite already being crowned champions – continued their onslaught last time out, hammering Hannover 3-0 away from home. Although the title-race is done and dusted, the battle for a place in the UEFA Champions League is wide-open. That’s enough chit chat, let’s get down to business!

Friday 27 April

Hoffenheim 7/20

Draw 9/2

Hannover 13/2

(20:30)

Hoffenheim are unbeaten in their last eight matches, including back-to-back wins, while Hannover are winless in their last 10 travels. The hosts are still in the running for UEFA Champions League qualification and will be determined to see that through. Die Kraichgauer have won the last five meetings at home against Hannover and are tipped to add to that. The Half-time/Full-time Hoffenheim win should be backed at 8/10.

Saturday 28 April

Freiburg 21/20

Draw 24/10

Cologne 51/20

(15:30)

Freiburg and Cologne will square off in a relegation dogfight on Saturday afternoon. The hosts are without a win in their last eight matches, including five consecutive defeats with three losses on home soil. Cologne must win their remaining three matches to stand a chance of survival, which makes this matchup all the more interesting. The Billy Goats are coming off a hard-fought 2-2 draw against Schalke and will be looking improve on that. Back Cologne to keep their slim chance of surviving the drop alive with a narrow, nail-biting victory.

Schalke 17/20

Draw 51/20

Monchengladbach 31/10

(15:30)

Schalke have been superb on home soil in recent weeks with four wins on the spin, scoring seven goals and conceding just once. Monchengladbach have travelled poorly with only four wins from 15 games and should go down. However, they are coming off a 3-0 home win against Wolfsburg and should find the back of the net. Both Teams to Score – Yes – is tipped at 8/10.

Hertha Berlin 21/20

Draw 23/10

Augsburg 26/10

(15:30)

Hertha Berlin have been excellent with two wins on the bounce, including a 3-0 victory away to Eintracht Frankfurt last time out. Augsburg have been dismal on the road with just four wins from 15 travels. The Old Lady are unbeaten against Augsburg in the last six meetings. The sides drew the reverse tie 1-1 but Hertha Berlin are tipped to utilize home advantage.

Wolfsburg 23/20

Draw 9/4

Hamburg 51/20

(15:30)

Wolfsburg suffered a 3-0 drubbing at the hands of Monchengladbach last time out and will be desperate to get to winning ways. Hamburg are second from the bottom on the log, but gave themselves a small boost last weekend with a hard-earned 1-0 home win against Freiburg. The Wolves know that if they win this match, they stand a great chance of keeping their top-flight status, but their home record leaves a lot to be desired. Hamburg have the worst away record in the league with 11 losses from 15 games. The Totals – Under 2.5 Goals – market should be backed at 6/10.

Bayern Munich 9/20

Draw 36/10

Eintracht Frankfurt 52/10

(15:30)

Bayern Munich have been brilliant with four wins on the spin, while their home record speaks for itself as they remain unbeaten with 13 wins and two draws. Eintracht Frankfurt have been terrible in recent weeks with three losses from their last four games. At 9/20, the Bavarians are well worth a punt, but instead, I’m going to look for a bit more value. Bayern Munich on the (-1) Handicap looks good for the taking at 11/10.

Bayer Leverkusen 4/10

Draw 38/10

Stuttgart 6/1

(18:30)

Bayer Leverkusen were annihilated 4-0 at Dortmund last weekend, ending a run of two consecutive victories. The hosts will be determined to get back to winning ways and should do so against Stuttgart, who have lost 10 of their 15 travels. Die Werkself have won six of the last seven meetings between the sides, with 4.4 goals per game. Get on the Matchbet + Totals – Over 3.5 and Home – market at 13/10.

Sunday 29 April

Mainz 23/10

Draw 49/20

Leipzig 23/20

(15:30)

Mainz are placed 15th on the table with just seven wins from 31 games, while Leipzig are unbeaten in their last three matches and have been inconsistent on the road. If I had to pick a result, I’d say this one has a draw written all over it. But looking at past results, the last three meeting produced a combined 13 goals (4.3 per game). With that being said, I’m expecting an exciting start to the game with the 1st Half Totals – Over 1.5 Goals – tipped at 16/10.

Werder Bremen 51/20

Draw 28/10

Borussia Dortmund 19/20

(18:00)

Werder Bremen will take on Dortmund in the final match of the round. Die Werderaner are winless in their last three games but are unbeaten in their last 10 home matches. Dortmund are coming off a 4-0 home win against Bayer Leverkusen but have travelled poorly of late with consecutive defeats, conceding eight goals without scoring. The last eight meetings have produced 36 goals at 4.5 per game with both sides finding the back of the net on each occasion. I’ve decided to play it safe and take Both Teams to Score – Yes – at 5/10 – definitely one for the multiples.

TREBLE @ 11/2
