SuperSport United coach Gavin Hunt has voiced his frustration over his team’s struggles to find the back of the net, which has led to their decline in the Betway Premiership standings.
This came after his side was unable to secure three points from their recent Betway Premiership clash with Sekhukhune United.
Hunt’s side were coming into the game on the back of a run of four defeats and managed a 1-1 draw but the Matsatsantsa boss was gunning for the win.
His team created a number of chances but found themselves a goal down when Relebogile Mokhuoane hit the target in the 49th minute.
Gamphani Lungu then missed from the penalty spot with 62 minutes on the clock, before Samir Nurkovic ultimately levelled for his side in the 90th minute.
The result left SuperSport in 12th place with 17 points and Babina Noko in fourth place with 25 points.
Speaking after the game, Hunt said on SuperSport: “I thought we played very well.
“I thought we were the better team let’s be honest. I thought the first half we could have been three, 4-0 with the chances we missed. And then they went 1-0 up through never a foul but that’s what happens and then we chase, chase, chase.
“I think performance was fantastic obviously we are not happy with the result because we should have won this game. We played well but we’ve played like this the whole season. So, you can see why we are not scoring goals we miss the chances even when we get a penalty it’s crazy.”
The last time these two sides faced each other in January, Sekhukhune ended as 3-0 winners.
Hunt added: “The first game we played them we could have been 3-0 at half-time and then we lost 3-0.
“So, I thought here we go again it felt like a similar game, the first time we played them to be fair watch the game. We watched it again this morning we should have been 3-0 at halftime and we lost 3-0 because we don’t score but we keep creating chances.”
SuperSport are next in action against Cape Town Spurs in a Nedbank Cup last 16 clash on Wednesday.
