Free State Stars coach Luc Eymael has admitted that things are not going well for his side this season following a 2-0 defeat to Kaizer Chiefs on Tuesday.
Ea Lla Koto have failed to maintain the standards of the previous campaign, that saw the club lifting the Nedbank Cup and also finish in sixth position in the Premiership.
Eymael’s side have managed just one victory from six of their opening matches of the 2018/19 season.
“They had two attacks in the first half and they scored two goals. We had two opportunities, we don’t score. I think we’re repeating the same thing every week,” Eymael told SuperSport.
“I don’t know what will happen. I’m trying my best unfortunately things are not going our way and I’m not clear on what is the solution.
“We were repeating this yesterday because we were studying our mistakes where we open the gap in the centre of defence for a through pass.
“I’m very disappointed with some guys we had a meeting last week. I said if you’re not 100 percent fit for the game then say it. But I had a problem with one of our centre back (Bangali Keita), I called him today and he said, “no, no I’m 100 percent.
“I told him pay attention because I don’t want to lose you after 20 or 40 minutes because I will lose a substitution but he said “no, I’m okay” and you saw what happened. When things are like that you feel betrayed. It’s hard to accept.”
